The rules for the "BigGameLodge.com" exist for one reason only. To insure that everyone has an enjoyable experience while here, and that all are treated with respect and fairness. The rules are not hard to follow. However, if they are not followed, you will be subject to a temporary or permanent banning from the site depending on the severity of the infraction. Each rule on here is the result of a user creating a problem. Please do not help us to make another rule.



CLUB RULES



1. Each user may have ONLY ONE username per IP address. If for example: There are two members who share the same computer (family members) and you are using different usernames Please make us aware of this so that we dont remove one of the accounts.



2. Any messages that contain obscene or offensive language, or that have the intention of degrading another member will be edited or possibly deleted. The Staff and Moderators have full discretion concerning these areas. Usually we will not delete a post, but rather will edit the post to take out the offensive portion and then will send you a PM letting you know what you did wrong.



3. Everyone has their own opinion and is free to express it. Please do not degrade others because of their opinion. Any post doing just that will be deleted by staff or moderators.



4. If you have a problem with another member, resolve it through the use of Private Messages(PM) or email, keep it out of the open Forums, or we will delete it. Do not continue a thread that has already started in this manor.



5. You are responsible for what occurs on your computer and on your IP address. If other people have access to your computer or your static IP address, we strongly recommend that you log out of your message board identity when leaving and keep your password secret. Any objectionable posts made under your identity or IP address will be assumed as posts made by you, and can result in a permanent ban if they were serious enough.



6. If you wish to change your screen name, please contact a staff member and we will do it. Do NOT register another account. If we find a user has two accounts, one will automatically be deleted which will mean all posts by that name will automatically be removed.



7. BGL will not host a map made by anyone unless permission from the map maker is given. Once submitted, the map maker can not change his/her mind and decided to take them off, they will remain on the BGL Web site unless you have a good reason and the staff agrees to remove them. Links to maps on other sites are prohibited unless once again permission is given. This area is being explained a little more as it also pertains to exe files located in the forum rules.



***Please note that breaking the rules above will result in one of two actions. You will either be warned, and then given one more chance, or you will be suspended right away. That totally depends on what rule is broken. If you are banned, you can try to come in under a different name, but we will be alerted that there is a username created that is coming from an IP that is banned or close to that IP address.



These rules are not here to be restricting, but rather to provide a place to hunt that is both fair and fun for all.



Failure to follow these rules will result in 2 warning letters and finally being removed from the club. Serious offenses may warrant the immediate banning of the offending user. Cheating, especially during tournament play, will result in an instant and permanent ban, no questions asked.



7. CHEAT AND YOU WILL BE BANNED, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!

BigGameLodge.com is a gaming community built around several different hunting games that people compete in on a regular basis. With that said, we will not tolerate posts or links to cheats or trainer sites designed to manipulate the many tournaments held throughout the virtual hunting community. Such posts or links will be removed without warning, and if the situation is considered serious enough, it can result in a member being banned from this message board and all events. Any user that is found or suspected to be using the Mods to make a cheat game will be banned from the club and future tournaments.



WHAT IS CONSIDERED CHEATING

The use of mods or anything that makes you run fast or shoot straight, turning in a trophy for a team member that really did not hunt, Editing Screen shots in any way, changing the clock on your computer or anything else that is not achieved by simply hunting like everyone else. This is serious and we have banned people from this, so please do not be the next.



Other than that, it is all up to YOU to practice good sportsmanship.

13 Please do not make excessive post just to raise your post count and gain a new rank. If the Staff or Moderators see you doing this, your post will be deleted and you will be warned.



14 - Post for tournaments at other clubs made be made on our forums under these conditions.

A. The tournament is open to ALL and not just your members

B. You post here regularly. We do not want to be an advertising place for other clubs. We have grown and have found that some users are coming here ONLY because this is a place where everyone can see it.

C. Your Tournament does not conflict with any of our Tourney Dates. Please click on the Future Tourney link to see the dates.



15 Avatars and Signatures must conform to set height and width constraints as well as file size. For Avatars the maximum size is no larger than 125 X 125 and 80KB in size. Signatures must be no larger than 150 tall X 500 Wide with a MAX file size of 400KB. If either one is too large, you will be warned and given ample time to fix. If it is not fixed in the said time, the signature or avatar in question will be deleted. These standards are set to keep the board the same size so that users do not have to scroll across the page to read.



Signatures and Avatars may display the name of your site, but may not be made into a link. Example: One user I just found has a signature with the theme of the site in large letters, then underneath is says "Please Visit Us" and the signature is linked to their web page. This violates the advertisement rule. You may place the name of your web site in the signature with an address, but may NOT link it to a site and the address must not be in huge letters. It needs to be normal text. BGL is too large and people usually join thinking they can advertise their web site here to gain members. That is not the purpose of this web site.



PRIVATE MESSAGES



Private messages are part of the site forum software. PM are not to be used to solicit services or anything for other web sites. Users who abuse this will loose the ability to send a PM. Although they are private to and from you, The BGL administrators reserve the right to monitor PM;s via admin software that we have. If there is an issue with a member we can and will look at all PM sent by and to that user.



How/When to Report a Post



If you find a post that you think is breaking the rules or you think the post has/will cause a problem you can report it to the Administration by simply hitting the report button next to the post. Fill in the information as to why you are reporting it and the administrators will have a look and see what needs to be done.



16 Users who break any of these rules will be warned once. The second time, they will be banned from the forums and/or downloads for 1 week. The third time you will be banned from the forums and/or downloads for one month. The 4th time you will be geminately banned from BGL.



**NOTE** BGL does not ban people unless it is something that is called for. We do reserve the right to skip any of the above warning steps depending on the severity of the infraction. If your login does not work, do not think that you have been banned. Many things can cause your login to not work, to include posting links that the web page automatically sees as illegal. Please send us an email asking for help.



17 - TEAM SPEAK



Team Speak is a free service for each member and visitor. Team Speak can be downloaded free from www.goteamspeak.com. Below are the rules for using Team Speak.



18 Do not play music on the channel as it takes a lot of bandwidth

19 Do not jump in and out of channels.



About the Moderators.



The moderators on this forum work for free. We don get paid and most of us have real lives. We have a lot of work to do and very little time to do it.



Please remember this when you moan and whine at us.



How Do I Become a Moderator



* You don ask if you can become a moderator, we take a very dim view of people who ask/beg to be moderators.

* We contact you if we would like you to join the team.

* You don become a moderator by starting threads asking if Mr. X can be a mod.

* The best way to become a mod is to help others out and don break the rules.

* Remember we can ask you to become a moderator if we don know who you are! So why not come into Team Speak and let us know who you are!
